ABOUT US

The choir is under the direction of Belinda Drew. After a career in acting, education and choir direction in the UK, Belinda’s musical life has flourished since moving to France in 2003. Initially Director of Music at St Catherine’s Anglican Church, LImeuil, Belinda formed Concordia in 2018. We are most definitely a multinational choir - we seem to add new nationalities every year! Currently, we have French, British, Dutch, German, American and Danish members. Likewise, we sing works in a variety of languages including French, Latin, English and Russian. Much of our work is sung a cappella. However, we are fortunate in having a number of talented pianist members to accompany us when required. Our eclectic repertoire can easily range from the 15th to 21st centuries. Examples of our works we have performed include: Durufle, Tallis, Aaron Copland, Rachmaninov, Victoria, Purcell and many more.
